What would you like to find easier here?

I have 1,875 blog posts and as that number mounts, it gets increasingly important to be able to easily search for what you want. To such ends, a BIG thanks to Daniel Weiss, Technical Integration Manager @ Lijit. I've been a fan of Lijit search for awhile (and not just 'cuz Guy Kawasaki and Seth Godin use it), because of the insightful stats it gives you.

This On Demand theme initially had problems with the WordPress plugin, but Daniel personally fixed it, and now, there's just one more quirk: the most recent posts show when you do a search. I'd expect it to not advance pages at all unless you click on a search result.

Let me know what you think about it, and also: what are you looking for here that I should place more prominently? Are certain FAQs and how-tos too buried? Should I make some stuff more prominent?

In the upper right, I have "about", "piano music", and "textures" easy page links but I could add more/less depending on what you find most convenient and valuable. A similar case for what I might add to sidebars, altho I'm deliberately keeping the design simple for now.

In any case — do share your ideas, I'm here and I'll respond! MAKING A BETTER BLOG FOR YOUR FUTURE, or somesuch propaganda. ;D

    I like your Tech reviews of your latest discoveries, that's what keeps me coming back.

    I started using Live writer because I found it here for example…and now I've just heard about Ligit

    @Alan: Thanks! My old blog design had too many categories, this newest one is "lighter". However, I am experimenting (while not the most visible) with tags. E.g., try http://torley.com/tag/reviews

    @Daniel: THANKS AGAIN! I'm going to try out the most recent Lijit you emailed me, you are SO helpful and awesome! That naturally encourages me to recommend Lijit more, esp. that you've solved my problems!

    Aloha Torley! The only thing I was wondering was your "Tutorials" category… are those only for SL tutorials? What about the video tip on Sony Vegas?… just my thoughts :)
