Widgets rearranged, audio player plugin added
Posted on: December 23, 2006I've got a lot of mileage out of moving the Widgets in my blog's sidebars around. Inspired by my wife's catchphrases, I'm now showcasing my textures on the left as "Lickably Seamless". They're free; I'd just like to know what you make with 'em!
I also changed the Comments Widget to show 10 comments (down from 20), and I put the Multimedia sidebar back. Haven't done much with it, but looking at the Flickr badge makes me wish the Snapzilla one had something animated too, like the album slideshows you can do. And more compact than 600 pixels tall. I must be nostalgic: it's nice to see many images from my past; the live panel displays a random sampling each time you load the page, e.g.,
I'm not clearly comfy with the YouTube badge: I'm glad it's a single graphic, but I noticed it's a PNG. Some space could be saved if it was JPG, and I wonder if I can put a movie miniplayer of sorts in a sidebar. Hrmmm there's another idea! (And I have so many of them.)
Major change I added was 1 Pixel Out's awesomeriffic Audio Player. Not only is it sleekly integrated, as you've noticed, it also offers color customization. I promptly watermelonized said player. It keeps getting used more and more by a variety of popular sites. On my wish-list is a volume control, which is coming up next in V2.
