Dayum, I haven't had a lot of time to post here—it's been a few days but it's seemed like a week. Second Life 1.9 has had a stretch to settle, and 1.9.0.17 was just released, which is fantastic! I know some Resis just had to download this "optional" upgrade in order to FORCE SUN even better! What's new? A MIDNIGHT (opposite of NOON) and REVERT TO REGION DEFAULT, which means you can get the sun back the way you like it without a relog!
Who knew such a little feature would make such a big difference? I knew, since the first time I heard the question, "It's so dark at night, how do I make it brighter?" That Nighttime Brightness slider only goes so far, baby. This is such a popular feature.
Heck, new Resis growing up today will not know what it was like having ye olde Force Sunset buried under the DEBUG menu. Nor will they know the agony of slow teleports where attachments crawled up and loaded slowly—remember that? The bad memories are fading already, as SL progresses quickly!
This is an intentionally sardonic, grim picture on the right… showing the dark of the seafloor in Sandra.
Sometimes I type a lot on the SL Forums, so I don't feel much like blogging. My hands are tired but I'm overjoyed by ALL THE SUNSHINE!
